PowerLogix Bluechip LS G4 Processor Upgrade for Lombard G3 Powerbook

Does anyone have any experience with this particular processor upgrade? 
There used to be a support forum run by PowerLogix and a few people 
there complained that it didn't work - something about file corruption. 
Does anyone know for sure?

I've been given a Lombard and having been following MOL and YDL for some 
time now, I'd love to be able to use the Lombard with a RPM-based 
distro. Any help would be much appreciated.
