I have a 3Com 3c905 in a PM9600/MP and it works falwlessly as the primary
enthernet adaptor. The YDL 2.3 installer will even see it at install time
but there's a bug where if you don't setup the onboard card, the isntaller
will write the info you gave for the second adapter to the forst as well
and try to bring them both up at boot time, which will yield in problems.
the solution is to simply edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
and disable it at boot and make sure that
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 has the correct information
