XF 4.2.0, Imac? Nvidia GeForce2, please read
http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/solutions/ydl_general/nvidia.shtml
The section concerning the kernel might be obsolete...YDL has a
2.4.19-4a kernel, while it is recommended to get a 2.4.19-pre8
BenH-kernel, good question which is newer...
It might also be a good idea to get XF4.2.1.
GeForce4 is not supported (yet). Usually manufacturers of video card
first ship a driver for Windoze, then one for Macs and that's it -
developers at xfree then have to guess and reverse-engineer the hardware
specs and develop a driver for X, so they lag behind, but it is not
their fault! Geforce4-support will finally be there.
