I was somewhat curious about this myself. So I ran some simple tests on my G4/yellowdog and intel/redhat machines, our departmental Sun server and some others. But considering the G4 is two years old, and was cheaper than my intel machine (which has ultra SCSI...), I'd say it's pretty decent. - Donu
