Cannot Boot on G4

Hello,

I am trying to install YDL on a G4 Dual 1.25 GHz processor (the new G4 with
the four holes punched out of the front).  I have made it through the
install process, however, currently, I cannot get either YDL or Mac-OS-X to
boot from the Yaboot menu.  In either case, after a one line message, the
screen clears to a white-grey color, and the machine becomes completely
nonresponsive.

After not receiving responses to previous messages to the list, I took a
risk and tried downgrading my video card (Radeon 9000 Pro to a Radeon 7000
Mac Version) and my monitor (ADC LCD to standard VGA), but after a reinstall
I am still stuck at the same white-grey screen.

Has anyone seen this white-grey screen before?  What did you do to get
around it?  Has anyone successfully installed on a newer G4?  I have been
stuck at the same place for about 10 days now, and am really frustrated.  If
I could only get to a prompt, I would be so ecstatic, but all I get "Loading
second stage bootstrap" and a blank screen.
