Cannot Boot on G4

Jim,

I have a similar problem. I get this same gray screen only when I fail to
type an "l" when yaboot comes up to boot into linux. This happenes (I
think) because when I installed ydl, it didn't recognize my osx or os 9
partitions. So in order to load either of those OSs I have to hold down the
option key at bootup. So as long as I enter a l when the yaboot screen
comes up, it boots fine. to boot into a MacOS, I have to hold down option
when I boot to get the mac bootloader.
