How to reset the ADB under YDL?

Hi everybody,
How does one reset the ADB under YDL?
I have a few servers that join one Monitor/Keyboard via a simple
ADB/Monitor switch. So far everything works fine, except for the fact
that I do loose some functionality after I switch to another machine,
namely keyboard functionality.
In general all keys work, but the right <Alt> key looses its <Alt Gr>
functionality and becomes <Alt>. Using a German keyboard layout, it
leaves me without the important |, <Alt Gr>< < >, and @, <Alt Gr><Q>,
characters, as well as some others []{}... The only way to get the
functionality back, is to reboot the machine while the keyboard is
atached to it - not desired =:[
Is there any way to avoid that? Are there any switches that avoid such
a behaviour?
Typing "reset" in a terminal window or at the console does not solve
that issue, and always switching to a US keyboard layout just to get
the desired characters is quite annoying in the long run -:|
Any help/info appreciated. TIA.
Greetings,
Alex
