Set boot prefs?

I don't know how to change the file directly, but you can set the 
default boot OS in the Boot X window itself:

When Boot X is running, press the tab key. This will :
1. stop the countdown for booting into the default OS,

2. most importantly, suggest another OS as default OS. This means, 
another OS selection button is highlighted as the default button.

If you now click on Save to Prefs, then the new OS will be selected as 
default.
