new G4 towers

Hi everybody, 

I intend to buy rather soon one of the new G4 towers for scientific
computing and would like to put linux on it (probably ydl, since it sounds
like the only ppc distribution regularly maintained at the moment).  they
mention 2 possible choices of graphics card for that machine, the 
ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, and the nVidia GeForce 4, both with dual digital
display support.  Having bought a while ago a new G4 with the nvidia
GeForce 2 in it, i know what it means to have to wait for 6 months before
having X working decently, and would like to avoid repeating the same
mistake...  i imagine that nobody yet tried these new macs (which may not
be truly available yet).  but at least, is there any idea about which
of the 2 graphics card will be supported sooner?  It seems that Radeon are
better supported under linux, but will it be true for this particular one,
even if i'm only using a single (digital) display??
