i've not tried it myself but i've been looking into a processor upgrade =
for a lombard bronze keyboard powerbook G3 for quite some time and have =
come across the same information regarding the powerlogix bluechip =
upgrade - ie, no YDL compatability.
i believe, however, that the Nu Pwr upgrade from Newer technology does =
work. the president of the company wrote to me to tell me that it does. =
it's a direct chip replacement and you have to send your powerbook off =
to them........
there's also the sonnettech upgrade that you could look at as well. but =
not sure about this one.
