Weird battery problem....

Well, PMUD is running (it's what shuts the machine down). The baterry light 
indicator thinks that the battery is at low charge as well. I don't know what 
YDL is doing wrong, but if someone can suggest a set of steps to help the 
problem get resolved I'll quite happily follow them.
