YDL 3.0 on Xserve

I'd be interested in reports on how easily 3.0 goes onto an Xserve.  I 
have one running 2.3 now and it was a bit of work to get it on there.  
Now she works like a dream, though.

This time, however, the YDL Xserve is the main server, so I can't 
afford to have it down for long.  That, and I work remotely (I'm 2hrs 
from the main office) and I don't want to have to be out there for 2 
days while everyone's on me to get the server back up...

So, some success stories would bolster my confidence.  Also, I 
understand it is not possible to upgrade from 2.3 to 3.0 but I need a 
clean install.  Is that correct?
