After three days of trying and threatening my machine with a frying
pan, I'm ready to ask for help.

During the install for YDL 2.3, the installer will panic when it gets
to the 'Transferring packages' section of the install. This happened
right after installing the ghostscript fonts. I tried doing a custom
install and not installing the ghostscript fonts, but it still happens
at the same spot.

Here's the abridged error message:

Oops: Exception in kernal mode, sig:4

Then it will reboot in 180 seconds.

Machine specs as follows: PM 6500, 64MB RAM,
External SCSI 500MB HD with OS9 on it
Internal ATA 4GB dedicated to YDL 2.3
Comm Slot II Ethernet card

Any ideas as what may be up? Just so you know, I'm new to Linux/*NIX,
but I'm not afraid of the CLI with a good set of instructions. Mac OSX
does have some distinct advantages for those of use new to *NIX

Thanks,
Rob
