bluetooth and irda

Hi guys i have a billionton bluetooth usb device and a integrateed irda 
device!
i can't get htem working!
i tried the irda with my palm m500 and the bluetooth nothing!
i need help to install and activate irda and also to install and use a 
program to use and configure bluetooth for example pair devices and 
so....
under osx i had a menu and a program for bluetooth and only a menu for 
irda!
can u tell me how to get somithing similar (gui or shell) unde linux?
