I can't help you with that, but if your UMAX is like mine and uses a 
PS/2 keyboard, you can buy a little plug that fools the machine into 
thinking it has a keyboard. I can't remember what they are called, but 
mine was about $15 (ouch!!) a few years ago. They are probably cheaper 
now.
