Cannot execute rc and rc.sysinit

Hi, i installed YDL3.0 yesterday, after upgrading with apt-get 
update/upgrade it suddenly started to hang. When I boot it, it says 
cannot execute rc and rc.sysinit, then it tells me id's 1-6 are respawning 
too fast - disabled for 5 min. And that No runlevels are left. I boot the 
rescue mode, and the rc and rc.sysinit files are where they are supposed 
to be (/etc/rc --> rc.d/rc | /etc/rc.sysinit --> rc.d/rc.sysinit).

How do i fix this so I can boot my YDL again?
