G4 400mhz and DHCP

Good point about the autonegotiation. I had the same
problem with my D-Link DI-704P: flashing LED, no
connection. The solution was: force the NIC to
10Mbit/Half Duplex, autonegotiation off. Try all
combinations speed/duplex.
