ISO image won't install onto my b/w G3

hello.

I just downloaded an .iso image of YDL 2.3 (daytona, i believe) and burned it onto a disc and tried to install...but no luck. My G3 won't even read the disc.

Now here is my situation:

i made the cd from a windows machine...but that shouldn't matter because it is just an image of the disc, right? I can read the disc from windows.

I had OS X on my G3. I've since put OS 9 back on there. That wouldn't affect the firmware in anyway that would make YDL not install, would it?
