ATI Radeon 8500 YDL support

Hi all,
I bought and installed a Radeon 8500 mac edition video card in my powermac 
g4/400. Works great in OS X. I have a spare 10 gig hd installed and figured 
I would give YDL 2.2 a go. Well it installs fine except it would appear that 
the video card is not supported. I went back to my original ATI rage 128 
card and YDL worked great. So now I am wondering if anyone knows if support 
is forthcoming for the 8500. Perhaps in YDL 2.4?
