checked out this page and was able to print a file using:

[joev@localhost local]$ /usr/bin/papstatus -p 4MP
status: idle
[joev@localhost local]$ /usr/bin/pap -p 4MP :LaserWriter@*
/home/joev/printtest.txt
Trying 65280.219:132 ...
status: busy; source: AppleTalk
Connected to 4MP:LaserWriter@*.
:LaserWriter@*: No such file or directory
Connection closed.

This printed a simple text document I created in VI.

I can ping the printer:

[root@localhost netatalk]# /usr/bin/aecho "4MP":LaserWriter@*
14 bytes from 65280.219: aep_seq=0. time=8. ms
14 bytes from 65280.219: aep_seq=1. time=8. ms
14 bytes from 65280.219: aep_seq=2. time=8. ms

Still can not print CUPS test page or out of Open Office.

Thanks
Joe
