I have an iBook2 (700Mhz, dual USB, pre Nov 2002)

I haven't tried playing DVDs under ydl, but was unsuccessful under mdk. I
don't remember the software, but the DVD failed to play movies, data reads
were fine, it was under /dev/cdrom.

Any luck with your modem?

regards,

LKB
