PPC 8500/150 running ?Newtech? G# processor

I got the YDL 3.0 Geek edition and tryed to install on
the PPC.

This PPC is running OS 8.1. The stuffit was out of
date so I could not follow the instructions on
unstuffing the install procedures per the Setup guide.

Main Question: Is there a way to wipe out the whole
system and just boot off of a Floppy and install YDL
by itself? Sounds like a PC question because that's
what I'm used to.

I don't want to have any MAC software on this system.
