airport tx errors

This probably isn't going to be much help, but here goes.

The YDL3.0 installer detected the Airport card and configured it as
eth1. I assigned it a static IP address for our office network and it
generated the followin:

$ cat /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth1
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=192.168.0.255
IPADDR=192.168.0.7
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=192.168.0.0
ONBOOT=yes

Then I added the following line to /etc/rc.local.

/sbin/iwconfig eth1 essid "Network Name" enc your_wep_key_goes_here

I'm connecting to an Airport base station so I used the Airport Admin
tool running on OSX to find the values for network name and the WEP
key. The network name is fairly obviously labelled as 'AirPort Network
Name:' and the WEP key is displayed by selecting 'Equivalent Network
Password' from the 'Base Station' menu.

I also run the following line to create a route to my network gateway.

/sbin/route add default gw 192.168.0.255

That's all I had to do. Works fine other than occasional TX errors.

Hope that helps.

Greg
