OpenOffice 1.1RC install help

Greetings,

 I've made a couple of quick attempts to install OO 1.1 but they have
failed and the docs do not help.

 I'm running YDL 3.0 which has OpenOffice 1.0 installed as an RPM. When
I run the 1.1 installer, it fails to recognize my JRE at
/opt/IBMJava2-ppc-131/ or any of its subdirectories. It also completely
kills 1.0 if I try to install without a JRE.

 Has anyone managed to get this to install? Am I missing something
really dumb here?

 Better yet, has anyone made this into an RPM (Dan?)? As that would
definitely be the preferred way to install.
