No pasting in OpenOffice 1.0

Hi List,

this problem seems very strange to me:
I can copy and paste in (and between) almost any application in my YDL
3.0 installation (installed everything), but only in OpenOffice, the
paste icon is always greyed out.

I can't even copy and paste within one document in any OpenOffice
application. I usually work in GNOME, but the problem also exists in
KDE. Without copy and paste, work gets a bit frustrating sometimes :(

How does one copy and paste in OpenOffice 1.0
