Try the 2.2 kernel for the install (when you bootX the first time). I got my 3400 laptop to see the CDROM this way. Once 3.0 is installed it should work fine.

Just an update; I've re-formatted all three of my HDD's and started the 3.0 install over from scratch. No matter what I try, the YDL Installer says it can't see the CDROM Drive.


Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
