I recently saw an article on DiskZapper in the Linux Journal (July
2003, page 12).  The article describes "DiskZapper, a bootable Linux
distribution, wipes all drives connected to the computer
(diskzapper.com)."

Note that I have not used DiskZapper yet.  I haven't even visited the
web site yet.  I did bookmark it because it sounded useful and I
remembered it when I saw your post.
