Apparently, the Jackhammer is based on the QLogic ISP 1020 chipset,
which normally is supported, but...

I don't know if the author of that article, Matthew Jacob, has had the
opportunity of trying one out yet.  And that article is of course NetBSD
related, not Linux.  I was talking to Mr. Jacob recently about some-
thing else and he did say just a while back that Feral.com does employ
somebody who's running SuSE on a G4, so I'm guessing that if somebody
would be so kind as to lend them a card, support for both NetBSD and
Linux just might appear...

Also, there was a message on yellowdog-general just two months ago.

It seems that right now, you can't use the Jackhammer with Linux.
