Installing YDL on PC-partitioned HD

No.. the problem is.. Apple-formatted drives have the actual partition_map
entry as the first partition (e.g. /dev/hda1).  So, if you've got some 
other partition in the '1 spot'... this drive won't terribly useful on 
your Mac.
