Hi all-
I'm stumped trying to figure out how to get X using the second monitor
port on a Radeon 8500 (hooked up to a second display of course, which is
the same model as the primary display). The primary display is up and
working great.
The secondary display is enabled at boot (by Open Firmware/yaboot?) and
displays only the following:
... ok
copying OF device tree...done
starting cpu /cpus/PowerPC,G4...failed: 00000000
Initializing fake screen: ATY,R200i_A
Calling quiesce ...
returning 0x01400000 from prom_init
That's it though, it just sits there displaying that text until I power
off the computer. I'm not sure if I need to enable the second display
through the kernel (and what arguments to pass), or if it'll just work
with the right X config.
I'll paste my current X config below, in case I get lucky and some pixel
guru can make recommendations already =)
Thanks for any help!
Best, Justin
