apt_get problems all over the place!!!

I belive apt is currently broken in YDL-3.0.  The current workaround is to 
use "yum" instead.  

FWIW, yum is darn nice, and if you've ever used earlier versions of YDL,
yum will feel quite familiar, as it's an offshoot project of the original
YUP! program that came with YDL-1.x and 2.0 and 2.1.
