ydl 3.0 on new dual G4 + 23" flat display

hi everybody, 
i've dowloaded with success the three ydl3.0 iso files 
and burned them on cd's and tried to install it on my 
dual G4 (1.25 Mhz) with 23" ADC flat panel display.  
the only thing i get is a black screen with dark blue 
vertical strips, and nothing apparently happening.  
the cd's are ok and i checked that they work fine with 
an older G4 with 17" ADC flat display.  given the fact 
that the new G4 are supposed to be compatible with ydl3.0, 
i imagine that the problem comes from the 23" inch display.  
did anybody try it with a similar configuration?  
is there any success reported?  
is there anything obvious i could try to make it boot?
