Can't enter text into root password fields during install

Hello all,

I am having some difficulty installing YDL 3.0 on a Powerbook G3-Bronze 
Keyboard. When I try and select the text fields, I can't. The fields 
are grayed out. I can go no further than this point, as I can't set the 
root password. Has anyone else seen this?
