MOL stuck mouse fix?

Hello,

I have seen this mentioned on older lists but nothing recent.

Situation: After a few minutes of use, MOL with OS X gets the cursor 
stuck in Control-click mode, slowly making it unusable. 
Command-clicking sometimes helps but the results always seem to be 
the same.

Older posts referred to related TCP/IP issues but I will assume for 
now that they are unrelated. Any known fixes?

Hardware: PowerBook Pismo both with and without Logitech optical 
scroller mouse.

Everything else works hauntingly well!
