Maybe on really old Macs this is true, but Kudzu picked up and supported my
8600's dmasound_pmac audio controller on a bone-stock YDL3 kernel. I was
blasting ShoutCast streams from XMMS in no time flat.

In fact, *everything* worked in YDL3 on my 8600. Even the stuff I didn't
expect to work, i.e.: I boot YDL3 using BootX, load the kernel, and run
Linux off my Promise IDE controller (which came out of a PC and MacOS9/X
knows nothing about it!)
