 Very cool, thanks for that info. I followed your link to the IBM manuals, 
mine is the following:

 7043-140 IBM RS/6000 43P Model 140

 which seems a bit different. For one, it doesn't seem to have built-in 
IDE, which is a bit of a pain. I was hoping for something that I could use 
as a cheap file server, but it won't be so cheap if I have to fill it with 
SCSI drives.
