YDL - PB 12" and FX Go5200 configuration

Hello,

After considering to buy one of the new iBooks G4 12" I had an oportunity to 
get a PowerBook 12" instead.

It's a nice beast running at 1GHz but it also has the GeForce FX Go5200. I 
found the following information about YDL support for them:

PowerBook 2003 G4 GeForce FX Go5200 - 12"
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 5200 with 32MB DDR
Maximum number of colors: thousands
2D acceleration: No
3D acceleration: No
X Configuration: Automatic
Dual head: No

It also says this is for the latest release only. I have the iso's of the 
september release (3.0.1) and I was told there were little changes in the 
actual 3.0.1, but while Yellow Dog installed without a problem I'm stuck with 
the configuration of X. The "automatic" configuration picks up a wrong 
configuration. So my questions:

- is there a point to downloading the latest 3.0.1, does it really support the 
Go5200 better than the september release?
- I found information about succes in installing tha léatest XFree from cvs, 
but I have no idea how to do that (especially on a PPC). Is there some "how 
to" somewhere?
