Radeon Card issues

I am trying to install YellowDog 3.0 on my 9500. I have a 32 MB PCI 
Radeon card installed and after the installation is finished, X Windows 
crashes every time I try to start it.

Part of the message says this:

*****INVALID IO ALLOCATION******** b: 0x400 e: 0x4ff correcting
Symbol xf86SetDDCproperties from module 
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.o is unresolved!

I have reinstalled 4 times thinking that it might work the next time, 
but I always get the same messages.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how do I fix it?
