Can not enter text into root password field during install

Hello,

I'm trying to install YDL 3.0 on a PowerMac G4.  Everything goes fine
until the "Account Configuration" page.  The field where you enter the
root password is grayed out, and nothing can be entered there.  The
next button is grayed out also.

We are attempting to install YDL on drive 2.  Drive 1 has Max OS X.

Someone posted the same problem on May 6, but there were no
responses.
