sendmail

I've been having some problems with sendmail on my iBook (YDL 3.0).
It doesn't seem to be bothered by being out of range of my wireless
router, but the second I plug an Ethernet cable in and bring up eth0,
sendmail bites the dust. Sometimes it stays running, but it refuses
to send mail, and all messages I write pile up in
/var/spool/clientmqueue until I reboot the machine. Running
/etc/rc5.d/S80sendmail restart does *not* fix the problem.

Anyone have any insight? The problem is switching from using eth0 as
the primary interface to using eth1, or vice-versa.

Thanks in advance!

Chris
