802.11b/g pcmcia card on a 15" powerbook

Hello,
I would like to buy a new 15" powerbook and install yellowdog linux.  I've read that the airport
extreme card is not supported.  Has anyone been able to get a pcmcia 802.11 card working with
yellowdog on a 15" powerbook?  If so, which cards are supported and what do you have to do to get
this configured properly and working?  Thanks!
