Let me rephrase my question.

Does anyone know how to get MOL to look outward on the network?

I am working with a G3 B&W. It is as close to stock as it is possible to 
get, with only the built-in ethernet. YDL has no problems - obviously, 
since I am writing  on it. Likewise, when I boot to MacOS, all is well.

I also have a simple home network, no DNS, except the one supplied by my 
ISP, a cable router, providing DHCP.

What have I missed in configuration?
