dual G5 -- video app soesn't work

Folks:

We're using several video applicatons that don't work
on the new dual-G5s.  Yellow Dog was installed when we
purchased them.  The kernal is 2.6-?.

They use the Xv(X-Video) extensions.
xvinfo returns Version 2.2-?, and 'no adaptors found.

I'm not at the machines right now, so please forgive
the inexact version numbers.

Is there a later version of Xv that will provide
adaptors for this machine and it's video card?

Any help appreciated.  The boss is starting to frown. 
Not a good sign.  Need to get the camera up and running.
