sleep and 3d acceleration

I installed YDL 3.0 on a powerbook G4. I changed 
the display setting to 1280x854 with millions of 
colours and enabled 3D acceleration. (The 
default was 1024x768 with thousands of colours 
and no 3D acceleration.)

Now it quit wake up from sleep. I found out that 
the offending setting was the 3D acceleration 
and it sleeps and wakes up fine without it. Is 
there a fix for this? I searched the web but 
couldn't find anything about it.
