YDL support for G3, G4 cards which Macs- 9600?

Currently running YDL and MacOS9 on an old allinone PPC5500. G3-400 
works great in MacOS but haven't figured out how to make it work in YDL. 
  Terrasoft website indicated "intermittent problems" with daughter 
cards on this model.
Anyone had experience making the Sonnet L2 upgrade work under YDL?

Am considering obtaining another Mac box but if there's an upgrade to G3 
or G4 I want to know if it will work under both MacOS and YDL. I've been 
considering a 9600 for its versatility (6 PCI slots). Anyone know if the 
9600 with G4 upgrade will work under YDL?EOT - End of Tagline
