It took me about three tries before it installed on mine, Francis. I was
installing 3.0, though, not 3.0.1. You might also want to add swap space
when the install begins. If you have low memory, this might help.

Subject: Install YLD 3.0.1 on PB 3400
Hi,
Having downloaded YLD 3.0.1 ISO and burnt cdrom, I start install on my PB
3400c with boot X (one 300 MB for mac partition and 1 free space 1.5 GB for
linux). The text based installer start fine, but when I have to choose the
install media (cdrom), the keyboard become completely messed and the
installer don't see the cdrom (burnt on another mac under macos X with disk
utility as an ISO disk image). Any idea what is going wrong? The sad thing
is that a previous version of YLD (2.3) installed without problem on this
PB, but the network installed never succeeed to recognize the integrated
ethernet card.
Thanks for help.
