As Dr. Hacker points out, you cannot resize Mac partitions without using
third-party tools. One such tool -- untested by anyone on this list --
is VolumeWorks by SubRosaSoft ($50):

I wouldn't trust it, to be honest. Your best bet is to do a full backup
of both your Mac OS X and YDL partitions, and do a "nuke and pave"
reinstallation.
As a workaround, you could try ext2fsx. ext2fsx is a Mac OS X extension
that allows you to mount and read/write ext2 partitions in Mac OS X (YDL
uses the ext3 filesystem, which is ext2 with journaling tacked on). This
will allow you to use some of your YDL space to store documents and
files, especially those you want to access from both YDL and Mac OS X.
ext2fsx is reasonably stable, and no one I know of has reported any
problems with non-beta versions:

Good luck!
Best wishes,
Clint
