G5 kernel panic when booting install cd

I'm using yellowdog-3.0.1-sirius-20040316-install1-PowerMacG5.iso  from YDL.net
to load linux  my new G5.

I get the following error during boot:

I also tried loading a gentoo image CD and Debian Cd they also crash during boot


I tried some suggetion in previous threads like changing resolution to 600x800
and doing stuff like reset-nvram reset-all under OF  and still crashes

Any suggestions...
