ide-scsi driver

I need to install an ide-scsi driver within kernel-2.4.20-8d so that
then I can then burn some iso's which I downloaded. I had thought I
could convert the iso files into Disk Images which the burner software I
use within OS 9.2 can see but I thought slugging the process out in
Linux would be a better thing to do. So here we are...I've tried using
yum to install the driver but that doesn't work.

I tried hold the C key down as Linux boots up while the Install 1 disk
is waiting within a SCSI CDROM drive... but that doesn't work either.
Although Linux recognizes both drives it won't allow the C key to
initiate activating that disc.

So here I am looking for alternatives which may be possible... Any
ideas??
