Powerbook shut off problem---??

Got a problem I just can't get past. I've searched and looked, but am just 
stumped, unless the answer is right under my nose and I'm missing it. Sooo, 
maybe someone can shed some light here perhaps?? 

I have a powerbook G4, 15" 1Ghz which runs with Yellow Dog just fine.
Problem is ---> whenever I close the lid, it will completely turn the 
computer off shortly afterwards.
